Yoga mat bag

This is my yoga mat bag that I made for myself in an hour with no pattern. I just measured my mat and went from there. It is awesome and fits tight to your shoulder for carrying or bike riding to your class.

"Little Chef" hat

My son has insisted that my mom call him "Little Chef" when he cooks with her. For this very reason, and his love of cooking, I made him this "Little Chef" hat. He loves it, but often won't wear it when he cooks, because he's afraid he'll get it dirty. This cracks me up every time.

I crocheted it, and according to my sister (who actually knows how to crochet) I made up my own stitch or did a half single or half double stitch on the top part. I have to admit I had a very vague idea of what I was doing, so I found it super awesome that it ended up looking like I thought it would.

TARDIS hat from loom

This was my first attempt at loom knitting a hat with more than one color.
I found a knitting pattern online of a hat similar to this. I really liked it, but don't know how to knit with needles, so I converted the pattern to fit a knitting loom, and made some slight changes to make it look more like the TARDIS windows.

Halloween 2010 costumes

The Red Queen. The crown is made from poster board and gold paint. The coat fabric was due to be thrown away by the store my mother works at, they told employees to take what they wanted. I bought the glass beads at a craft store. The shirt was hers, and the black skirt is mine. I pinned it to make it small enough to stay on her.

The card is made from the same red fabric as the red queen jacket, an old white t-shirt, and some batting. The paint brush was an old ruined one that I painted the tan paint on it red. The paint bucket was almost empty, so I used up the paint and painted red over the other color that had dripped down the side.

The Mad Hatter's hat is made from poster board and some fabric my sister picked up at a yard sale. The ribbon on the hat and around his neck is some from the store I mentioned above that was doomed to the trash. the hat pins are made from wire and glass beads, the card is tea stained to look aged, and the peacock feather came from the craft store. All of the clothes came out of our closet. The spools were just laying in my sewing box waiting for a purpose.

Halloween costumes 2008

Sally from the Nightmare before Christmas. This costume was made entirely of fabric scraps I collected, sharpie pen, and some pieces were coffee stained before they were attached. The arms and legs are gray knee high pantyhose, and the hair is yarn.

I just made the ears and wings with shiny black fabric and some pillow stuffing and pinned them to his jacket.

Halloween costumes 2009

The belts on the hat and the witch are just that...old belts. I made the dress, she already had the shoes, and the hat, broom, and tights came from the store.

This one is made from an old sheet, some cheese cloth, and some elastic on the wrists and around the face.

Playing around

I've already been invited to a Halloween party this year, and it got me thinking about signs and costumes and creepy labels for my glass bottle collection.

ITS Invoice

a start up invoice. I'm sure we'll have to update it as their needs change and grow.
(I'm not sure why, but the green changes to an awful lime color when you enlarge this image)
